The Storyteller is obviously not the first book that ever brings up Auschwitz, the most notorious slaughter camp in human history, as its premise. Be that as it may, it’s one that does it from a slightly different angle. It’s common to punctuate the unimaginable atrocity the SS has done in holocaust, but time to time, it’s interesting to ask a different question. Were all men in SS equally heartless?
We’re still in the world of A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas, but war is finally here. It’s time for everyone to step out of dark corners, to mingle with some and to conspire against others. King of Hybern is overwhelmed by his greed of power and is actively threatening the peace of the realm. Hostile situation obviously calls for more pages, so it’s small wonder that the third book is the longest.
Hello, Nerdies. Today, I am back with the second part of the series A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. The book is called A Court of Mist and Fury, and it’s an amazing transitional story. Teaser After a seemingly happy ending that we were served at the end of the previous […]
Well, as much as I hate to make up excuses, I’ve been real sick for the past weeks, couldn’t even sit in my seat to turn on my computer. So that’s why I’ve been MIA. But anyway, I am back now, with a bunch of good books to review. First and foremost is A Court […]
Another mystery by MHC. Oh, I think I’ll stop reading old mysteries after this, they just don’t age well and I just don’t want to complain no more. Thriller and horror are genres that heavily depend on suspense and not substance. It brings a lot of problems when there’s even a sliver hint of predictability. […]
Just in case you’re as blind as I was, Circe is one name of the long strings of Greek Gods and Goddesses. And Circe is an eponymous novel of zero to hero journey of the Goddess of Aiaia. Circe is born a lesser God. An immortal with a Goddess’ gait and appearance, but has no […]
Hey, Nerdies! Today I’ve got a special novel to review. Regretting You is a story of a complicated relationship between a mother and a daughter, who are dealing with a sudden loss of family members when they also just learn about a sickening betrayal that has been long festering inside their very house. If you’re […]
Christina and Lauren have always offered a light, entertaining stories. That is their flair. However, Twice in a Blue Moon is a different sort of animal. Despite its showbiz theme, this novel is subdued and I must say, almost humorless. It’s a story of love, so strong, that even a betrayal can’t put it to […]
My Oxford Year is an incongruous story of a second chance. The lead character, Ella Durran is described as an accomplished political consultant with unwarranted poetry spark inside her. Coming to Oxford for English Literature program paid by the Rhodes she’s won herself, she meets and falls in love with the cute, mysterious poet with […]
